Accreditation Renewed at Mercy Senior Care Facilities

HOLYOKE — Officials of the Mercy Senior Care Network have announced continued accreditation at Mt. Saint Vincent Nursing Home in Holyoke, Providence Care Center of Lenox, and Farren Care Center in Turners Falls. The accreditation was granted following recent surveys by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).

“Mt. Saint Vincent Nursing Home, Providence Care Center of Lenox, and Farren Care Center all consistently provide the highest quality of care for residents, and these positive surveys reflect those efforts,” said Christopher McLaughlin, chief operating officer of the Mercy Senior Care Network.

“These facilities are excellent examples of the standards in place throughout our network,” he added.

JHACO, an independent, not-for-profit organization, evaluates the quality and safety of care for nearly 15,000 health care organizations.

To earn and maintain accreditation, organizations must have an extensive on-site review conducted by a team of health care professionals at least once every three years.
