AdCare Offers Program for Family, Friends Affected by Addiction

WEST SPRINGFIELD — Often referred to as a family disease, alcohol and drug dependency deeply impacts family and friends. AdCare’s informational and support programs are designed to educate loved ones about substance dependency and provide support for family members.

AdCare West Springfield’s Outpatient Family and Friends Informational Program takes place the second Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m. at 117 Park Ave. Family groups are facilitated by knowledgeable and experienced professionals and are open to anyone concerned with the substance use of a family member or friend. AdCare offers a wide range of alcohol and drug treatment options, from hospital-level care in Worcester to inpatient residential treatment in North Kingstown, R.I. and outpatient and family services at offices throughout Massachusetts and Rhode Island. AdCare is nationally accredited by the Joint Commission, giving individuals and families education, support, and hope that recovery is possible.
