AFC Doctors Express Announces Online Check-in to Reduce Wait Time

SPRINGFIELD — AFC Doctors Express, the largest independent urgent care provider in the Commonwealth, announced the availability of online check-ins prior to arriving at either the Springfield or West Springfield urgent-care locations. The online check-in function will help patients reduce the amount of time spent in waiting rooms and paperwork that needs to be filled out upon arrival.

“Providing healthcare at times and locations that are convenient for patients is written right into our mission statement,” said Rick Crews, president of Medvest, LLC, the master developer of the AFC Doctors Express franchise within Massachusetts, Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. “Quick access to quality healthcare is what we have built our reputation on, and the new online check-in feature demonstrates our continued commitment to our mission.”

Patients can check in online by visiting doctorsexpressspringfield.com and clicking the ‘reserve your spot online’ button featured on the homepage. A new page will open, directing patients to choose which location is most convenient, based on location or the current wait time at either location, which is shown in real-time. Then, patients can click the ‘get in line now’ button and be directed to enter their name, e-mail, and phone number. If patients have been treated at AFC Doctors Express prior to their visit, all previous records and forms will be used to reduce the need to fill out paperwork when patients arrive.

“Another feature of the online check-in is that we are able to share a customer-service survey so we can capture feedback from our patients,” said Jim Brennan, CEO of Medvest, LLC. “We will use this feedback to continue improving the patient experience at AFC Doctors Express.”
Patients can make an appointment or reservation from any web-enabled device.
