Albert Joins Baystate Health System As Manager Of Medical Practices Marketing

SPRINGFIELD — Jane Albert, former vice president of Business Development at Veritech Corp., has joined Baystate Health System as manager of Medical Practices Marketing.
In her new role, Albert will develop and implement marketing plans for Baystate Health System’s 25 medical practices. In addition, she will be responsible for marketing the Baystate Medical Education and Research Foundation (BMERF) multi-specialty academic group practices.

Prior to her stint at Veritech, an interactive multimedia production company that serves the health care industry, Albert was vice president for Advance-ment and Marketing at Western New England College. There, she was responsible for all fund-raising, alumni relations, marketing and communications, and campus events. She also served on the faculty in the college’s School of Business, where she taught undergraduate and graduate level marketing courses.

Active in the community, Albert, who lives in Longmeadow, has assumed leadership roles on the executive board of the Springfield Chamber of Commerce and serves as vice chair of the National Conference for Community and Justice (NCCJ). She is also a member of the Springfield Rotary Club.

Baystate’s medical practices are located in the health system’s principal service areas of Hampden, Eastern Hampshire, and Franklin counties. Medical professionals at various sites include internists, pediatricians, obstetricians/gynecologists, family practitioners, nurse-midwives, and physician assistants. BMERF employs about 200 specialists and primary care physicians who are an integral part of Baystate Medical Center’s tertiary care program, and who are the principal faculty to more than 200 residents and fellows at the hospital.
