Amherst College Donates $50,000 to CDH Campaign

Northampton – The fundraising campaign that supports Cooley Dickinson Hospital’s $50 million building expansion project received a gift of $50,000 from Amherst College recently.

“Amherst College takes its commitment to the community seriously,” says the college treasurer, Peter Shea, “and we are also aware of our responsibilities, as a non-profit organization, to our donors.

Continues Shea, “there are few charitable gift-giving opportunities whose consequences are as concrete, visible and lasting as a gift to a hospital building. Cooley Dickinson Hospital has served the people of the Pioneer Valley, including the students, faculty and staff of Amherst College, well over the years and it’s good to know that it plans to keep on serving.”
