Aromatherapy Seminar Slated

SPRINGFIELD — Baystate Health System’s Office of Continuing Education will offer area health care practitioners a daylong seminar, “Clinical Aromatherapy,” on May 9 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Log Cabin in Holyoke.
The program, designed for nurses, nurse practitioners, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and others, will provide an understanding of the principles and practices of clinical aromatherapy in health care.

Topics for the program will include “Recreational v. Clinical Aromatherapy,” “Identification and Extraction,” “Aromatherapy Applications,” and “Four Essential Oils for Clinical Practice.”

The program will be led by Jane Buckle, RN, MA, PhD, who holds certification in therapeutic massage, herbology/natural healing, and aromatherapy. Buckle is an adjunct faculty member in aromatherapy at several universities, including UMass.
