Dr. Glen Brooks Names Winner of Mother’s Day Makeover Contest

LONGMEADOW — This Mother’s Day, Dr. Glen Brooks, a board-certified plastic surgeon at Aesthetic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, P.C., a community-centered cosmetic, surgical, and non-surgical practice serving Western Mass. and Northern Conn., rewarded one lucky mother with a day of pampering valued at more than $2,000.

The Mother’s Day Makeover competition, which ran throughout the month of April, allowed nominees the opportunity to share stories of their mother, reflecting on childhood memories or distinguishing characteristics that set them apart and make them especially worthy of the prize. The entries were collected at Longmeadow-based boutique In Chic Shoenique, and were reviewed in early May. The winning mom, Gedalia Auiles, was surprised with the news of her win by her daughter, Natali Adams, who also nominated her. Auiles will enjoy the day of pampering on a day of her choosing.

“Mothers are giving in nature,” Brooks said. “We are excited at the prospect of giving this gift of spa services to a mother so they can be on the receiving end for a change.”

Auiles will enjoy four spa treatments at the Spa on the Green, including an hour-long facial, microdermabrasion treatment, and a ‘liquid facelift’ using Botox and fillers. In addition to the spa package, Auiles will enjoy an array of prizes donated by area businesses Brush Salon, In Chic Shoenique, Debbie Wright, and 350 Grill.

“One thing is for certain,” Brooks added. “We intend to make the winning mom feel like a princess in a day of total relaxation.”
