Litscher Opens Eye Center In East Longmeadow’s Heritage Office Park

EAST LONGMEADOW — Dr. Larry Litscher, an eye surgeon who has practiced in Springfield for the past 16 years, has opened a new facility, the Litscher Eye Center in the Heritage Office park in East Longmeadow.
Litscher’s practice has focused on small-in cataract surgery, corneal disease and transplantation, refractive surgery (PAK, Lasik), laser treatment for various ocular conditions, glaucoma treatment, and consultations for corneal and contact lens problems. He was among the first in the area to adopt no-stitch, small-incision cataract surgery in 1991, and the first in Western Mass. to treat nearsightedness with refractive corneal surgery in the early ‘90s.

Litscher is a member of several professional organizations, including the New England Ophthalmological Society, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He performs eye surgery at Baystate Medical Center and Mercy Medical Center in Springfield.

Litscher is currently accepting new patients and accepts most insurances. He has office hours during the day Monday through Friday and on Tuesday evenings.
