Neurology Practice Opens at BMC

PITTSFIELD — Berkshire Health Systems recently announced the appointment of two neurologists, Ellen Deibert, M.D., and Marina Zaretskaya-Fuchs, M.D. to the medical staff at Berkshire Medical Center (BMC),
Deibert and Zaretskaya-Fuchs will provide general and specialized neurology care in their practice at the BMC Medical Arts Complex at 77 North St., Pittsfield, as part of the Berkshire Faculty Services.

The two join a BMC Neurology Department that includes Alexander Kloman, M.D., and Laurie Knepper, M.D. Zaratsky-Fuchs has expertise in neuromuscular disease, while Dilbert specializes in brain injury and stroke.

Zaretskaya-Fuchs began practicing in early September, while Deibert began earlier this month.

Deibert recently served as medical director of Brain Injury Rehabilitation at the Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis, and was an assistant professor of neurology and neurosurgery at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. She also served as a neurologist at Barnes Jewish Hospital South in St. Louis.

Zaretskaya-Fuchs served as a pediatric neurologist at City Hospital in Kiev, Ukraine from 1988 to 1993, prior to relocating to the United States. She has experience in early neurosonography diagnosis of hydrocephalic syndrome in newborns, diagnosis and treatment of seizures, treatment and rehabilitation of cerebral palsy, and differential diagnosis and treatment of brain injuries.
