Run and Walk for a Noble Cause Slated for May 2

WESTFIELD — Registration is now open for the 31st Annual Noble Hospital 5k Run & Walk for a Noble Cause, slated for Saturday, May 2. The race begins at 9 a.m., with registration from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. near the Children’s Pavilion at StanleyPark in Westfield.

The Noble 5k is a competitive road race for all levels of runners — from the novice to the serious athlete. The 3.1-mile course is flat out and back through Stanley Park and the surrounding residential area. A non-competitive walk follows the same route as the road race. Individuals, teams, wheelchair racers, and school groups are all encouraged to participate. After the race, refreshments, activities, and vendor tables will be located near registration, and awards will be given out. “We are grateful to our sponsors, vendors, and the community for their support; this fun-filled event is a great way to gather your friends and family for healthy morning at Stanley Park” said Allison Gearing-Kalill, Noble’s vice president of Community Development.

Early registration is encouraged. The registration fee for ages 13-59 is $35 through May 1 (seniors 60+ are $25). The registration fee for ages 13-59 is $40 on May 2 (seniors 60 + are $30). Children under the age of 12 participate free when accompanied by a paying adult. T-shirts and sizes are available to registrants on a first-come, first-served basis while inventory is available. The event will raise money for the Noble Hospital Oncology Department. To download the fundraising form, register online, or for general information, visit noblehospital.org/5k.
