Summer Symposium for Women Slated

WARE — The Baystate Mary Lane Hospital Community Outreach Depart-ment and Spirit of Women Membership Program will present the fifth annual Summer Symposium for Women on August 7, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., in the hospital’s main conference room, located outside the cafeteria.

Dr. Mohammed S. Ahmed, Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Baystate Mary Lane Hospital, will present the program.

Ahmed will host a candid conversation about the latest information regarding women’s health issues, from puberty to maturity, pregnancy to menopause, said Michelle Holmgren, Spirit of Women Coordinator, BMLH, and will also discuss the latest information about infertility, depression, and menopause, osteoporosis, pap smears, and other topics.

“Women will learn about women’s health issues to help them make more knowledgeable decisions to improve their over-all well-being,” said Holmgren. “And there will be opportunities to ask questions in a personal, intimate setting.”

Pre-registration is required for the program by calling Baystate Health Link at (413) 967-2488, or toll-free outside the Ware calling area at 1-(800) 377-HEALTH.
