MISSION STATEMENT
The YWCA of Western Massachusetts is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.
WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO
The YWCA of Western Massachusetts is one of 300 local associations in the United States. For nearly 150 years, the YWCA has served our region, guided by its founding principle: to provide shelter, support services, and tools for self-sufficiency for those in our community.
Today, the YWCA provides safe places for women and children in crisis and offers supportive services to all people who are victims and survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, stalking, and human trafficking. Some of those services include counseling, case management, emergency shelter, therapy for youth, and housing assistance.
The mission is to empower women, eliminate racism, and promote peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all people, supporting all people across all gender spectrums. The YWCA operates programs at several sites throughout Western Mass. and provides shelter to survivors of domestic violence and their children in a modern facility with state-of-the-art, computerized security.
