JGS Lifecare to Host Workshop for Veterans and Surviving Spouses

LONGMEADOW — Wartime veterans and their surviving spouses may be entitled to $1,176 to $2,169 in monthly income from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to help pay for senior care.

JGS Lifecare will host a workshop for veterans and their families explaining the benefit on Wednesday, Sept. 12 at 4 p.m. at Ruth’s House Assisted Living Residence on the JGS campus at 780 Converse St., Longmeadow. Information will be provided by Veterans Financial Inc., a private financial-service company. The benefit is determined by the VA based on eligibility.
