Holyoke Hospital Sets Fund-raising Goal At $4 Million For Expansion

HOLYOKE — Holyoke Hospital’s Board of Directors has approved plans for a $4 million goal for the “Yours for Life” campaign to benefit the facility’s major construction and renovation program.
The $4 million goal makes this the most ambitious fund-raising effort in the facility’s history.

Plans call for the campaign to begin in earnest in the coming weeks, with the hospital’s employees, physicians, and board members among the first to be asked to contribute. The campaign will then reach out to the entire community for support.

Primarily focusing on outpatient areas, the extensive $11.1 million building and renovation project is slated to begin by late summer. It will include the construction of new operating rooms and new endoscopy rooms designed to help the hospital meet rapid technological advancements, new surgical procedures, and the increased demand for outpatient services. Other areas which will be included in the project include the patient registration department; front lobby; recovery rooms; laboratory; Cardiology, Anesthesia, and Health Information Management departments, as well as the hospital’s gift and coffee shop.
