Rodowicz Named CFO AT BHS

PITTSFIELD – Darlene Rodowicz, who has served as associate vice president for Finance at Berkshire Health Systems since 1995, has been appointed to serve as chief financial officer, an appointment that was affirmed by the BHS Board of Trustees. 

Rodowicz succeeds Michael Cullen, who has taken on the position of senior vice president and chief financial officer at South Shore Hospital in South Weymouth, Mass.

“Darlene and Mike worked closely together for well over a decade, helping to guide Berkshire Health Systems to consistent financial stability and success throughout challenging times economically for all Massachusetts hospitals,” said David E. Phelps, President of Berkshire Health Systems. “Darlene´s exceptional skills and expertise in finance, and her knowledge and experience at BHS provide us with a seamless transition.”

A graduate of Western New England College with a Master´s Degree in Business Administration, Rodowicz also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from UMass Amherst. She joined BHS in 1984 as a staff accountant and has since served in a variety of positions, including billing supervisor of Berkshire Faculty Services and BHS Comptroller before being named Associate Vice President for Finance. She is also a fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Assoc.
