Access Care Partners to Offer Healthy Living Workshops in 2026

HOLYOKE — Access Care Partners is launching a robust, year-long series of free Healthy Living workshops in 2026 designed to support older adults and individuals with long-term health conditions — and their caregivers — in gaining practical tools for better health, wellness, and peace of mind.

Through a mix of virtual and in-person classes, the workshops offer a variety of topics to meet participants where they are. Among the offerings are:

• “Memory Training,” a four-week series teaching memory-enhancing strategies for people experiencing mild age-related memory changes (winter, summer, and fall sessions in Holyoke and Chicopee).

• “Living Well with Long-term Health Conditions,” a six-week class focused on healthy eating, stress management, goal setting, communication skills, and self-care aimed at improving chronic condition symptoms (offered in winter via Zoom).

• “A Matter of Balance – Managing Concerns About Falls,” an eight-session program to help participants reduce fear of falling and learn practical fall-prevention techniques through exercise, environmental awareness, and behavioral strategies (offered summer and fall at several senior centers).

• “Savvy Caregiver Program,” spring sessions for family members and friends caring for someone with memory loss or Alzheimer’s, offering training on how to cope with evolving needs and take care of themselves as caregivers.

These evidence-based workshops are offered at no cost and are open to anyone with one or more long-term health conditions — such as diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, or chronic pain — as well as their caregivers and loved ones.

“Whether you’re managing a chronic condition or helping someone you care about do so, these classes are meant to empower you with tools, motivation, and support,” said Andi Waisman, Healthy Living coordinator at Access Care Partners.
