AdCare Hospital Recognizes Dr. Wojciech Poluha, Jose Rodriguez with Awards

WORCESTER — Dr. Wojciech Poluha and Jose Rodriguez are the recipients of AdCare Hospital’s 2021 Excellence in Patient Care and Customer Service awards. Joan Bertrand, vice president of Human Resources, made the announcement at an awards ceremony at the hospital on Sept. 22. “These awards honor employees who exemplify extraordinary compassion and outstanding patient care and service,” she added.

Poluha, the recipient of the Excellence in Patient Care Award, has been an attending physician at AdCare since 2005 and “has shown exceptional dedication to the care of our patients,” said Dr. Mohammad Ahabbal, medical director, in presenting the award. “Dr. Poluha is compassionate and responsive to our patients’ needs, taking them from where they are in their disease to the next level of care, which requires listening to patients and ensuring the necessary flow information between the patient and all stages of treatment.”

Rodrigues, the recipient of AdCare’s Customer Service Award, joined the hospital’s Housekeeping Department in 2015. “Jose has a desire to learn and is always seeking to build his housekeeping and maintenance skills,” said James Souza, Facilities director, in presenting the award. “By earning this honor, Jose shows that dedication and hard work do get recognized and that, with effort and a smile, tasks get done.”
