AIC Nursing Students Celebrate Commencement With Pinning
SPRINGFIELD — Twenty-two nursing students at American International College celebrated their accomplishments with a pinning ceremony on May 23 in the Karen Sprague Cultural Arts Center.
The students included Tiffany Goldson of Ansonia, Conn.; Emily Acevedo and Joanna Sledzik of Worcester; April Boivin, Linda Demers and Brenda Maloney of Chicopee; Shari Laufer of Holyoke; Jackie McCourt of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; Karen Marcoux and Carol Burke of Westfield; Stacey Cammisa of Southwick; Holly Daniels and Karen Philibotte of Palmer; Meredith Gaiter-Brown of Windsor, Conn.; Erin Bonacker of East Longmea-dow; and Aime Gaylor, Mary Koursaris, Natasha Smitherman, Yanira Torres, Florence Watson, and Veronic Zaler of Springfield.
“This graduating class was exceptional, and full of cohesive students who wanted to do well. We really had a wonderful, and ideal class this year,” said Anne Glanovsky, director of the division of nursing.
During the ceremony, students and their families enjoyed a slide show, and remarks from the class speaker, Emily Acevedo, and guest speakers Donna Polverini, MS, RN, and Micheline Asselin, MPA, MSN, RN.
The AIC nursing program is accredited by the National League for Nursing Accreditation Committee.
