Albert Named Director Of Public Affairs At Baystate Health System
SPRINGFIELD – Jane E. S. Albert, an accomplished marketing communications specialist with more than 20 years of experience in marketing and public relations, has been promoted to the position of director of Public Affairs and Strategic Communications for Baystate Health System.
In her new position, Albert will oversee the development of external and internal strategic communications and be responsible for the areas of media relations, public affairs, special events, membership programs and crisis management. She will also oversee publications and writing services, as well as the Public Affairs staff, within Baystate Health System and will be the chief communications consultant to all of the health system’s affiliates.
Albert joined Baystate as manager of Medical Practices Marketing in 2002 and in 2003 was named manager of Corporate Marketing.
She holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from Babson College and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Massachusetts.
Before coming to Baystate, Albert was vice president of Business Development for Veritech Corporation in East Longmeadow, an interactive multimedia production company that serves the health care industry throughout the United States. Prior to that, she served as vice president for Advancement and Marketing at Western New England College, where she was responsible for all marketing and communications, fund raising, campus events, and alumni relations. A member of the faculty at the college, she was a marketing instructor teaching graduate and undergraduate courses from 1983 to 1993.
For 11 years, she was principal of Albert Associates, based in Longmeadow, specializing in marketing consulting and offering a variety of services, including strategic planning, marketing communications, public relations, and research for national and local businesses.
