Amherst Half Marathon Weekend to Benefit Amherst Survival Center
AMHERST — The Hartford Marathon Foundation (HMF) will return to Amherst for the Amherst Half Marathon Weekend on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 3-4. A family 5K, a two-mile fun run/walk, and FitKids races kids ages 2-11 will take place on Saturday. The 13.1-mile half marathon will take place Sunday and will also feature two- or three-person half-marathon relay options. The Amherst Survival Center is the official charity partner of this community-oriented race weekend.
HMF is offering this race weekend event with the support of the town of Amherst, UMass Amherst, Amherst College, Select Physical Therapy, and Bakery on Main, and with the cooperation of the Amherst Business Improvement District and the Amherst Area Chamber of Commerce.
New this year, HMF will offer Team Survival perks to benefit the Amherst Survival Center, an organization that supports families and individuals having difficulty making ends meet. Participants who join Team Survival will get pre-race perks, and 100{06cf2b9696b159f874511d23dbc893eb1ac83014175ed30550cfff22781411e5} of Team Survival registration fees will be donated to the Amherst Survival Center.
The half-marathon will start and end at UMass Amherst and travel through the historic Amherst town center, past Amherst College, and across the town’s country roads, along traditional farms and bucolic landscapes.
