Assoc. for Developmental Disabilities Providers Announces Two New Board Members
FRAMINGHAM — The Assoc. for Developmental Disabilities Providers (ADDP), a statewide association representing community-based human-services providers, announced that Jean Phelps, CEO of Incompass Human Services in Chelmsford, and Lynn Ireland, president and CEO of Riverside Industries in Easthampton, have been elected to its board of directors.
“Jean and Lynn know the realities that providers across Massachusetts face and what it takes to deliver the highest-quality care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and brain injuries,” ADDP President and CEO Ellen Attaliades said. “Their leadership will help our association continue to push for solutions to workforce and funding challenges and make a difference for the families and communities that our members serve.”
Phelps has more than 40 years of experience in human services and, since leading Incompass, has significantly expanded its service portfolio and geographic reach. She is also a prior chair of the ADDP board and chaired ADDP’s legislative and shared living committees. She earned a master’s degree in social work from Boston University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Clark University.
Ireland has led Riverside Industries for three years and has guided its strategic planning and operational growth. Prior to Riverside Industries, she was CEO of Sisters of Providence Ministry Corp. and Viability Inc. She has a doctorate in philosophy from Capella University and earned both her master’s degree in education and bachelor’s degree from Springfield College.
Phelps and Ireland join the board at a time when ADDP continues its work to advance policy and programs that improve the lives of those with IDD and brain injuries.
