Atlas Chiropractic Makes Donation to Kate’s Kitchen, Providence Ministries

HOLYOKE — Atlas Chiropractic announced a check presentation to Kate’s Kitchen and Providence Ministries on Friday, Nov. 1 at noon at Atlas Chiropractic’s office on Dwight Street. The donation amount of more than $9,250 was raised through the contributions practice members during Patient Appreciation Month in October.

“This year marks the 28th anniversary of Atlas Chiropractic, and we are grateful for the loyalty and support shown by our practice members,” the practice noted in a statement. “As part of our commitment to giving back to the community, we organized Patient Appreciation Month with two goals in mind: first, to show our appreciation to our practice members, and second, to help those in need in our community.”

Last year, with the help of our practice members, Atlas was able to donate $8,000 to Kate’s Kitchen and Providence Ministries. This year, it aimed to match or surpass that amount, and did so with the $9,250 donation. Every dollar donated will go toward providing food for those in need at Kate’s Kitchen.

To encourage participation from practice members, Atlas offered a special deal during Patient Appreciation Month: a $20 donation would entitle them to an adjustment and a goody bag filled with treats. First-time patients were provided with a consultation and exam, including any necessary X-rays and neurological scans, for $99 (normally $220); this money was also donated in full to Kate’s Kitchen.
