Atrium at Cardinal Drive to Host Seminar on Dementia-related Behavior
AGAWAM — The Atrium at Cardinal Drive will host the second part of an informational series in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Assoc. about understanding and responding to dementia-related behaviors. The presentation will be held on Thursday, June 22 from 4 to 5 p.m. at the Atrium at Cardinal Drive, located at 153 Cardinal Dr., Agawam. This free event is open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided.
Behaviors are a form of communication. This workshop will explore how to identify, understand, and respond to challenging behaviors. Attendees will be able to identify common triggers for behaviors associated with dementia, explain the process for assessing and identifying challenging behaviors, and learn strategies to address common dementia-related behaviors.
