Baystate Ends Partnership with US Healthvest on Behavioral-health Hospital
HOLYOKE — Baystate Health announced it has ended its partnership with US HealthVest LLC on a planned $30 million behavioral-health hospital following news reports alleging substandard care at other HealthVest facilities.
The Republican reported that Baystate has already spoken with potential partners and will put out a formal request for proposals soon. To qualify, any partner must have experience in psychiatric hospitals and commit to taking patients with all forms of payment, including public insurance that typically reimburses providers less than private insurance.
The change in partners may set the project back three to six months.
