Baystate Health Lifts Flu-related Restrictions in Visitors Policy
SPRINGFIELD — With the number of flu cases declining in the community, Baystate Health has lifted restrictions implemented in February to its visitors policy at its hospitals and outpatient centers throughout the health system, as a way to limit transmission of the flu and protect patients, guests, and staff.
While Baystate Health has now returned to its normal visitors policy, friends and family who are ill with cold, flu, diarrheal illness, or fever are reminded to call instead of visiting patients in the hospital.
