Baystate Health Lifts Visitor Restrictions
SPRINGFIELD — Baystate Health has lifted visitor restrictions put in place in January to provide the safest environment possible for patients, visitors, and staff during the flu season. Although there are still some flu cases in the community, the season is winding down, and the number of cases seen at Baystate Health has decreased.
While Baystate Health — including Baystate Medical Center and Baystate Children’s Hospital in Springfield, Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield, Baystate Wing Hospital in Palmer, and Baystate Noble Hospital in Westfield — has now returned to its normal visitor policy, friends and family who are ill with cold, flu, diarrheal illness, or fever are reminded to call instead of visiting patients in the hospital.
