SPRINGFIELD – Four Western New England community leaders have been elected to serve on the Baystate Health Inc. Board of Trustees and its operating affiliates.

New trustees recently announced by Baystate Health Board Chairman B. John Dill, president of Colebrook Realty Services, include: Timothy S. Rice of Greenfield, president of Rice Oil Co. Rice serves on the board of directors of the YMCA of Greenfield and is a trustee of the Community Foundation of Western Mass. He is a former board member of the Greenfield Community College Foundation and past president of the Independent Oil Marketers Association of New England.

Sarsynski, who joined MassMutual in July 2005, was a 17-year employee at Aetna Inc., where she held a variety of senior positions, including head of the Corporate Finance and Real Estate Investment Departments.

A member of the Western Mass. Development Council and the Real Estate Exchange, she was elected as the chief executive officer for the Town of Suffield, Conn. She currently serves on the board of the Suffield Observer.

Steele serves as treasurer on the board of directors at Glenmeadow Retirement Community in Longmeadow, and is also a trustee of the Community Foundation of Western Mass., for which he serves on the Investment Committee. He is active in the Young Presidents Organization, Businessman’s Study Group, River Valley Investors, and serves on the board’s Facilities Committee at Bay Path College.

Trietsch is immediate past president of the board of directors at the Springfield Jewish Community Center and also serves on the board of directors of Baycare Health Partners. He is also president of the Greater Springfield IPA and serves on the advisory board of Baystate Reference Laboratories.

“It is very gratifying that our trustee leadership identified such highly qualified individuals who have the experience, will and desire to serve on the board of trustees of Baystate Health,” said Mark R. Tolosky, president and CEO of Baystate Health.

“The fact that these successful business leaders in the community are willing to volunteer their time and take an active role in governing Baystate Health serves as a vote of confidence in our organization,” he added.
