Baystate Hospitals Conduct Back-to-school Supply Drives

PALMER, WESTFIELD — Baystate Wing Hospital’s 2025 back-to-school supply drive to benefit children in the Palmer, Ware, and Quaboag Regional elementary public schools was a success, as team members donated nearly 1,100 items, including individual items and boxes of items, such as pencils, 135 boxes of crayons, 270 notebooks, and 24 backpacks.

“The supplies we collected will make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families in our community,” said Karli Barrett, president and COO of Baystate Wing Hospital. “Our team’s kindness reinforces our shared commitment to a brighter future for those around us.”

Meawhile, Baystate Noble Hospital employees organized a back-to-school supply drive to support the children and families of Westfield River Elementary School. The month-long initiative, which concluded in late August, received enthusiastic backing from Noble’s new president and chief operating officer, Brandon Okezie.

“I am truly inspired by the incredible generosity our staff has shown in collecting supplies for Westfield River Elementary School,” he said. “By coming together, we are not only supporting local children, but also strengthening our entire community. Giving back is at the heart of what we do.”
