Baystate Wing Auxiliary to Sponsor Luncheon and Fashion Show

PALMER — The Baystate Wing Hospital Auxiliary will stage a special luncheon and fashion show featuring guest appearances by Lexi Woloshchuk, Miss Massachusetts Teen USA and Allissa Latham Miss Massachusetts USA 2018. The event will be held at the Ludlow Country Club, 1 Tony Lima Dr., Ludlow on May 5, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. 

The event will also feature DJ Andy Bukowski, from Real Oldies Radio and Peter J, Newland,  (from FAT) and Armani Tuxedo. Tickets are $35 per person.

“Through their fundraising efforts in the gift shop and special event sales, the auxiliary members and volunteers have actively supported local healthcare in the region by offering scholarships to local graduating high school seniors who are pursuing their education in the field of healthcare,” said Teresa Grove, vice president of the auxiliary and Philanthropy Officer for the Baystate Health Eastern Region, which includes Baystate Wing and Baystate Mary Lane Outpatient Center. “In 2018 they will award scholarships to students from Pathfinder, Monson, Palmer, Ludlow, Belchertown, Wilbraham and Ware High School. Additionally funds raised by our Auxiliary continue to support the Baystate Wing Emergency Department capital campaign.”    

The Emergency Department expansion project at Baystate Wing Hospital, which is expected to be complete September of 2018, features 20 patient rooms, including trauma, behavioral-health, and other dedicated specialty-care areas. Private rooms will replace curtained bays to enhance patient privacy, and a dedicated space will be created for behavioral-health patients.  Once completed, the $17.2 million project will expand the Emergency Department to better accommodate the needs of the community by supporting the current annual patient volume of 24,000 visits.
