Behavioral Health Network Welcomes Dr. Jalil Johnson as Senior Vice President

SPRINGFIELD — Behavioral Health Network Inc. (BHN) announced that Dr. Jalil Johnson has joined the organization as senior vice president, bringing more than 20 years of experience in healthcare leadership, program development, and clinical operations to the organization.

Johnson’s extensive background spans behavioral health, integrated care, primary care, population health, research, academic instruction, and large-scale organizational strategy. He holds a PhD in health disparities from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, an MBA in healthcare administration from Fitchburg State University, and an MS as an adult primary care nurse practitioner from UMass Medical School.

Prior to joining BHN, Johnson served as senior vice president at the Center for Human Development, where he led efforts to integrate clinical operations and managed large, multi-disciplinary teams.

In his new role at BHN, he will oversee the Care Management Division, Developmental Services Division, and Population Health and Organizational Quality. His priorities include strengthening organizational alignment, expanding person-centered care pathways, modernizing systems for greater efficiency and integration, and supporting BHN’s workforce development and retention strategies.

Johnson is recognized statewide as a strategic thinker and advocate for systems innovation in behavioral health. He serves on local boards and has been featured in media publications, statewide panels, and national conferences for his leadership and expertise.
