BFAIR Earns Three-year CARF Accreditation

NORTH ADAMS — Berkshire Family & Individual Resources (BFAIR) received a three-year Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) accreditation for its Day Habilitation and Adult Family Care (AFC) services. The accreditation extends through 2028.

During the accreditation process, the CARF surveyors noted that “this achievement is an indication of [BFAIR’s] dedication and commitment to improving the quality of the lives of the persons served. Services, personnel, and documentation clearly indicate an established pattern of conformance to standards.”

Added Ethel Altiery, interim CEO of BFAIR, “once again, the dedication and commitment of BFAIR’s staff and leadership team has shown through. To receive a three-year accreditation is outstanding and a true testament to the quality of services BFAIR provides.”

For more than 30 years, BFAIR has been providing AFC, residential, employment and day services for adults and children with developmental disabilities, acquired brain injury, and autism. BFAIR is a member agency of Northern Berkshire United Way and Williamstown Community Chest.
