BFMC to Host Employee Artisans and Craft Fair Dec. 4
GREENFIELD — Baystate Franklin Medical Center’s annual Employee Artisans and Craft Fair will take place on Friday, Dec. 4 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the hospital’s main conference rooms and lobby. The public is invited to attend.
The fair will feature unique, hand-crafted items, created by present and retired BFMC employees and volunteers. The event also includes a silent auction. Proceeds will benefit BFMC’s laboratory services.
“The BFMC Employee Artisans and Craft Fair is a great way to purchase locally crafted gifts while helping support our patient needs,” said Bill Levine of the BFMC Laboratory, who co-chairs the craft fair with Mary Taggart of BFMC Patient Care Services.
Added Taggart, “you can choose from woodworking, hand-dyed silk scarves, jewelry, quilting, pottery, vintage fabric items, maple products, handmade soaps and lotions, dried arrangements, herbal products, crocheted and knitted items, and much more.”
Levine continued, “Baystate Franklin is very special to all of us. We have always used Craft Fair proceeds to support hospital programs. This year, Craft Fair funds will support the hospital’s lab.”
Carol Benoit, manager of BFMC laboratory, added, “I am thrilled that the lab will be the recipient of donations from the Craft Fair this year. In these tough economic times, every expenditure is carefully considered, so an unexpected source of funds is quite welcome. Thank you for helping us to continue our great service to our patients.”
