BFMC to Host Free Event on Healthy Eating and Summer Skin Care for Diabetics
GREENFIELD — Baystate Health’s Senior Class is hosting an event to help those with diabetes get summer-ready and enjoy the sunshine safely. The event will be held in the conference rooms at Baystate Franklin Medical Center on Wednesday, June 12 at noon.
“A healthy diet can do wonders for your health,” said Sarah Reipold, RN. “Even the simplest lifestyle changes can add up to make a big difference in overall well-being. Individuals with diabetes have unique needs when it comes to summer safety, and trying to do the research without the help of a clinical expert can be overwhelming.”
Reipold will present alongside Denise Dowd, market director for Baystate Health’s Wound and Hyperbaric Medicine Center. Topics will include healthy diet tips and ways to protect and replenish one’s skin during the hot summer months.
The event is free, and a light lunch will be provided. RSVP is required by calling (413) 794-5200 or visiting baystatehealth.org/seniorclass.
Baystate Health Senior Class is a free loyalty program dedicated to health and wellness, offered exclusively for men and women ages 55 and over.
