BHN to Hold Grand Opening for Springfield Abilities Learning Center on Jan. 23

SPRINGFIELD — Behavioral Health Network Inc. (BHN) will celebrate the grand opening of its new Abilities Learning Center, located at 583 East Columbus Ave., Springfield, on Friday, Jan. 23 from 10 a.m. to noon. The new program expands access to supportive, play-based, and individualized services for children and youth with autism.

Attendees will include Springfield Mayor Domenic Sarno; state Reps. Brian Ashe, Bud Williams, and Carlos González; and Springfield City Councilor Zaida Govan, along with members of BHN’s leadership and program staff.

The event will feature an open house and ribbon cutting, and attendees will have the opportunity to tour the space, meet program leadership and clinical staff, and learn more about the services now available to children and families in the region.

The Abilities Learning Center underscores BHN’s commitment to helping young people thrive through connection, skill building, and compassionate care. The program provides applied behavior analysis (ABA) services designed to help children build communication, social, and daily living skills. Families may choose between in-home ABA services or center-based support at BHN’s new therapeutic space, which features structured learning environments, opportunities for peer interaction, and calming sensory rooms.

The grand opening is geared to community partners and referring organizations. Families seeking services at the Abilities Learning Center should call (413) 301-9355 or visit www.bhninc.org/aba. BHN accepts most private insurance, MassHealth managed care plans, and private pay, and currently has no waitlist, with immediate appointment availability.

In addition to the Springfield location, BHN also recently opened an Abilities Learning Center in Fall River to support families. A grand opening and ribbon cutting will be held this spring for that program, with details to be announced soon.
