BHS Labs Recognized Nationally

PITTSFIELD — The Berkshire Health Systems Department of Pathology Clinical Laboratories has been recognized by Advance magazine, a national publication for medical laboratory professionals, ranking high on its list of Laboratories of the Year.

In fact, BHS’s labs were ranked second when compared with facilities across the country.

Honorees were selected based on the submission of a 500-word essay that summarized why their laboratory should be considered an exception. Criteria such as innovation, teamwork, quality improvement, employee and client recognition, and community involvement were all considered. A picture of the BHS labs and the essay submitted appeared in the April 7 issue of Advance.
