CDH- affiliated Physician Opens Medical Practice

NORTHAMPTON – Kathleen Meade, MD has opened Hampshire County Internal Medicine at its temporary location at 570 Newton St., Route 116, in South Hadley.

The focus of Meade’s practice is adult primary care, wellness, and disease prevention. Meade has practiced locally since 1994, and is also accepting new patients. She says one of the goals of her new practice is to provide “all the services of a big-city hospital without the big city.”

Meade earned her medical degree from New Jersey Medical School. She completed her internal medicine residency and internship at the University of Connecticut Health Center. Most recently, Meade was an attending physician at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield and was a member of a Baystate Health Systems-affiliated internal medicine practice in South Hadley.
