CDH Auxiliary, Staff Honored

NORTHAMPTON — The Mass. Assoc. of Directors of Healthcare Volunteer Services (MADHVS) awarded Cooley Dickinson Hospital’s Auxiliary and staff with the Team Excellence Award for their work on the 2003 Trees of Love & Thanksgiving campaign. The Team Excellence Award is given in recognition of a successful collaboration between a hospital staff and its volunteers. Jean Ryan, director of volunteer services at Berkshire Medical Center and a representative of MADHVS, presented the award to the committee in March.

Robin Kline, director of volunteer services, said she nominated the team for the award because of the success of this year’s campaign under the direction of chairperson Shirley Hennessy. Hennessy, a 29-year employee of the hospital’s Laboratory, joined the Auxiliary after she retired from full-time employment.
