Consolidated Health Plans Announces Launch of New Brand and Identity
SPRINGFIELD — Consolidated Health Plans (CHP), a Springfield-based accident- and health-insurance Berkshire Hathaway company, announced the launch of a new brand name and brand identity for three organizations: Consolidated Health Plans, Commercial Casualty Insurance Co., and Atlanta International Insurance Co. The organizations will be branded under the marketing name of Wellfleet, and the company names are changing to Wellfleet Group, Wellfleet Insurance Co., and Wellfleet New York Insurance Co., respectively.
The new logo and brand identity, unveiled at the company’s 25th-anniversary celebration event on Nov. 15 at the Basketball Hall of Fame, comes on the heels of a September announcement in which CHP disclosed it is launching a new employee-benefit program now known as Wellfleet Workplace.
“For the past 25 years, CHP has provided comprehensive, flexible, and affordable solutions as a TPA in the student and employer health marketplace,” said Drew DiGiorgio, CHP president and CEO. “The new name Wellfleet Group, and new logo, represent our transformation and ongoing commitment to strength, service, and quality care. We are excited about our continued growth and the direction we are heading as we broaden our product offering and launch Wellfleet Workplace Benefits offerings.”
CHP’s new branding further enables the company to stand out as a new player in the accident- and health-insurance marketplace. As the new organization has evolved, CHP, soon to be Wellfleet, is increasing its staff in Springfield, which includes all aspects of insurance operations, including underwriting, actuary, legal, compliance, sales, and medical management staff. The full rebranding is expected to roll out in January.
