Cooley Dickinson Earns Awards for Website, Article
NORTHAMPTON — What does a newly designed website and an article about the opioid crisis have in common? Both received gold awards at the 27th annual New England Society for Healthcare Communications (NESHCo) conference on June 8 in Falmouth.
The Cooley Dickinson website underwent a complete redesign in 2016. In the category for Website – $100,000 or more, Cooley Dickinson Health Care received a nearly perfect score. The redesign and subsequent launch of the nearly 700-page website was a monumental effort that required the skills and participation of hundreds of employees in nearly every clinical, creative, and administrative discipline. The project also included the in-sourcing of Cooley Dickinson’s call center, which required a complete reorganization of the marketing team’s work.
Opioid addiction has become a growing public health problem in almost all regions of the country. In the Excellence in Writing category, “From the Frontlines of Care: Cooley Dickinson Addresses the Opioid Crisis,” an op-ed on a crucial and rapidly growing public health issue that ran in the Daily Hampshire Gazette, earned a second gold award. The article sought to set expectations for how care is delivered and offered to educate community members in a sensitive, appropriate way.
In addition, a campaign about the new Orthopedic Injury Clinic received an award of excellence.
