| WARE — Country Bank for Savings was recently honored at the Mary Lane Hospital (MLH) Development Council Appreciation Luncheon for its $35,000 donation to the hospital’s Technology Fund, which supports Mary Lane’s efforts to further upgrade the technology used in the treatment and diagnosis of patients.
The luncheon, held annually, celebrates the success of a year’s worth of fundraising activity.
The Development Council is comprised of hospital staff and MLH auxilians, and is responsible for the overall strategic planning and implementation of a number of fundraising activities at the hospital.
“Country Bank has a long history of supporting the hospital’s fundraising activities, and has made a difference over the years in helping us to better provide for all our patients,” said Deb Gagnon, fundraising and development manager at MLH.
In recent years, donations made by the bank have aided the hospital in purchasing state-of-the-art equipment in mammography and X-ray, and have assisted the hospital in the total renovation and upgrade of the Surgical Services department. |
