Dakin to Present ‘Pet Loss Companion’ Readings and Discussion

SPRINGFIELD — Dakin Humane Society will present readings from The Pet Loss Companion and discussion on Thursday, Feb. 28 at 6 p.m. at its Springfield Adoption Center at 171 Union St.

Family Therapist and Author Ken Dolan-Del Vecchio will begin and end the session with readings from his book, The Pet Loss Companion, written with Nancy Saxton-Lopez. He will facilitate a discussion on the meaning of pets in our lives and the journey of grief that comes when they pass away. Attendees are encouraged to listen, share, and celebrate the meaningful role that pets play in our lives, and there will be a question-and-answer segment. The session will conclude at 7 p.m.
