NORTHAMPTON — First responders from public-safety departments across Central and Western Mass. are invited to attend a free, all-day summit focusing on critical issues in veteran mental health, suicide prevention, and housing support.
Hosted by the VA Central Western Massachusetts Healthcare System in partnership with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, this summit will bring together experts, first responders, and community leaders to discuss and explore strategies to better support veterans in crisis.
The summit will take place on Thursday, Sept. 26 from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Hotel Northampton, 36 King St., Northampton. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in several breakout sessions led by local VA and community subject-matter experts, covering topics such as veteran mental health, suicide prevention, veteran housing, and legal support for justice-involved veterans. Additionally, EMT credits will be available for participants who attend.
