Florence Savings Bank Pledges $400,000 To Campaign
NORTHAMPTON – Florence Savings Bank recently pledged $400,000 to Cooley Dickinson Hospital’s Caring for the Future campaign.
“Florence Savings Bank is proud to be part of the Caring for the Future campaign. Our pledge comes at a time when we recognize the critical need for local, high quality health care services,” says FSB President John Heaps, Jr. “We know a strong, technologically advanced community hospital will benefit us all: bank customers and employees as well as the entire community.”
Florence Savings Bank has generously supported Cooley Dickinson Hospital in the past. In 1998, it pledged $100,000 the Campaign for Cooley Dickinson Hospital. Seven years ago, its gift was precedent-setting. Its recent announcement of $400,000 is its largest one-time gift to any institution.
To date, nearly $4 million of the $8.5 million Caring for the Future Campaign goal has been raised.
Based in Northampton, Mass., Cooley Dickinson Hospital is committed to being a model community hospital providing a comprehensive range of services to Pioneer Valley residents.
Cooley Dickinson’s $50 million building expansion project started in April of 2005. The new four-story, 116,000 square-foot building will expand the hospital’s core services. New building highlights include larger operating rooms, same-day surgery and recovery areas, a centralized laboratory and equipment sterilization room, a wing of 32 single-occupancy patient rooms and an expanded Joint Replacement Center.
The building is expected to be completed by spring of 2007.
