GREENFIELD – Franklin Medical Center recently received several awards at the 2005 PRC Client Education Conference hosted by the Professional Research Consultants Inc. (PRC) in Arizona. PRC is a healthcare marketing research firm that administers patient and employee satisfaction surveys for more than 1,000 hospitals and health systems across the country.
The Surgery Department at FMC received four separate awards for patient satisfaction: an overall 5-star Outpatient Surgery award (at or above the 90th percentile); a Silver Achievement award for the department’s Surgical Infection Prevention Project; and two Outpatient Surgery Top Performer awards, one for its registration process and the other for information given to patients to prepare for surgery. Top Performer awards are given annually to surveyed facilities that rank the highest in comparison to PRC’s national database; scores are based on the percentage of “excellent” responses.
FMC’s Inpatient Services received an overall 4-star award for patient satisfaction with quality and service, reflecting scores that place Franklin between the 75th and 89th percentile nationally.
In addition to its high patient-satisfaction scores, Franklin Medical Center was recognized with two awards for employee satisfaction with hospital leadership. FMC received a 5-Star award for Executive Leadership and a 4-Star award for the survey category, Immediate Supervisor.
