Franklin Community Co-op Increases Food for All Program Discount to 15%
GREENFIELD — With the freeze on SNAP benefits starting on Nov. 1, Franklin Community Co-op has increased its Food for All program discount to 15% for the duration of the freeze.
The Food for All program provides a discount on all purchases (excluding alcohol) to anyone receiving SNAP, WIC, or SSI. Participants do not have to be co-op member-owners. Any qualifying person can sign up for the program using the Food for All brochure at Green Fields Market in Greenfield or McCusker’s Market in Shelburne Falls, or online by clicking here.
“Our Food for All program was set up to help low-income community members access good food for themselves and their families. In this time of even greater need, we feel it is important to do what we can to ease the considerable burden placed on SNAP recipients by the freeze,” said Caitlin von Schmidt, Franklin Community Co-op’s Outreach and Communications manager.
Anyone with questions regarding the Food for All program can contact von Schmidt at communications@franklincommunity.coop.
