Free Breakfast CEU/CME Event to Feature Dr. Atul Gawande
NORTHAMPTON — Beacon Hospice will present a free program on having conversations about terminal illness at Christopher Heights of Northampton on Wednesday, March 22. The program will center on the “Being Mortal” learning module.
In his best-selling book, Being Mortal, Gawande writes, “I learned how to fix things. But not how to manage the problems I could not fix.” He is not alone. These challenges face every healthcare professional daily. The program will give practical guidance on having more successful and effective conversations about serious and terminal illnesses.
Social workers, nurses, physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants can earn CEU/CME credit for attending this program. Breakfast will be provided. Breakfast and registration is from 7:30 to 8:15 a.m., and the program will take place from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. Tours of the new assisted living community will be available after the program. Christopher Heights is located at 50 Village Hill Road, Northampton.
Seating is limited, and reservations are requested by Wednesday, March 15 by calling (413) 584-0701 or e-mailing Kristy Livingston at klivingston@christopherheights.com.
