Free Surgical Weight-loss Seminar Slated for Dec. 12 in Springfield
SPRINGFIELD — According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), obesity in the U.S. is common, serious, and costly, affecting about 93.3 million people. Yet, for many, diet and exercise are not enough to reach and maintain a healthy weight.
Pioneer Valley Surgical Associates conducts a free monthly seminar to provide patients with information about various surgical and non-surgical weight-loss options. The next informational session will be held on Thursday, Dec. 12 from 6 to 7 p.m. at Baystate Medical Center, Chestnut Conference Center, Room 3.
Dr. Burritt Haag of Pioneer Valley Surgical Associates has extensive experience in bariatric (weight-loss) surgery and offers the complete spectrum of minimally invasive bariatric surgeries for people with a body-mass index (BMI) of 35 or higher, including adjustable gastric band surgery, gastric bypass surgery, and sleeve gastrectomy surgery.
Attending one of the no-obligation educational sessions is the first step for patients interested in exploring these weight-loss options. For more information or to register for an upcoming seminar, call (413) 736-3163 or visit pvsurgical.com.
