Gándara Center Earns National Reaccreditation from Council on Accreditation
SPRINGFIELD — Gándara Center has once again achieved national reaccreditation through the Council on Accreditation (COA), a service of Social Current.
The COA reaccreditation process is a rigorous, evidence-based evaluation that reviews every aspect of an organization’s operations, from leadership and governance to service delivery and cultural competency. The process requires agencies to demonstrate compliance with internationally recognized standards that promote effective, accountable, and ethical practices.
“Earning reaccreditation from the Council on Accreditation is a powerful statement about who we are and what we value,” Gándara Center CEO Lois Nesci said. “It confirms that Gándara Center remains steadfast in our commitment to providing high-quality, culturally responsive, and outcomes-driven services that improve lives and strengthen communities.”
COA accreditation serves as an independent validation of organizational excellence. Through an in-depth review of Gándara Center’s programs, management, and service delivery, the accreditation team confirmed that the agency’s operations meet the highest standards in the field, ensuring that services are coordinated, evidence-based, and delivered by a skilled, supported workforce.
This reaccreditation is more than an institutional milestone; it reflects Gándara Center’s mission-driven approach to promoting the well-being of Hispanic, African-American, and other culturally diverse populations throughout Massachusetts. By achieving reaccreditation, Gándara Center demonstrates its continued commitment to transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
“Our reaccreditation affirms that we manage resources responsibly and operate with professionalism and integrity,” Nesci added. “Most importantly, it reinforces to our partners and the people we serve that Gándara Center is a reliable and compassionate leader in behavioral health, substance use recovery, and community-based care.”
