Grant Proposals Sought to Reduce Social Isolation Among Older Adults
SPRINGFIELD — Greater Springfield Senior Services Inc. (GSSSI) is seeking grant proposals for innovative programming ideas designed to reduce social isolation and loneliness among older adults age 60 and older. Up to three $5,000 “Let’s Re-engage” grants will be awarded to provide startup funding for innovative ideas that will help re-engage seniors with others, and engage stakeholders and the community in the effort.
The application is available on GSSSI’s website, www.gsssi.org. Proposals must be submitted by Friday, Sept. 28 at 3 p.m. An information session for grant seekers will be held on Monday, Aug. 13 at 3 p.m. at Greater Springfield Senior Services, 66 Industry Ave., Springfield.
