Harmony House to Celebrate Reopening with Ribbon-cutting Ceremony
CHICOPEE — Harmony House announced the grand reopening of its hospice home at 66 View St., Chicopee, following extensive renovations. The ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for Friday, May 31 at 4 p.m. and will feature Mayor John Vieau as the guest of honor.
“Harmony House has been a cornerstone of compassion in our community,” Vieau said. “These renovations enhance our ability to provide essential care in the most dignified setting possible. It’s more than a building; it’s a place where kindness and care come together.”
Harmony House provides a crucial service to the community by offering a home and continuous companionship for hospice patients who can no longer stay in their own homes. As a nonprofit organization, it operates solely on the generous contributions of volunteers and donations, without government or insurance funding.
“The board and volunteers are filled with gratitude for everyone that has helped to make this reopening a reality,” said Gina Mazza, president of the board of directors. “We are very excited to once again serve our neighbors in need.”
